MISSING MY FRIEND

It's so nice to see my best friend again after 5 months of not talking each other until she move to the place where she's settling down. She's more than a friend to me. She's like a sister to me. I was so dependent to her until one day, she decided to stay with the man she love. I was so upset knowing that I can't call her anytime like we used to do.

Last sunday, hubby asked me if I wanted to drive to my friend's place (30 mins drive) and have our breakfast in their restaurant and take pictures in our way. I said yes coz I guess it about time to reconcile. We surprised here and it was really nice to see her again. She looks happy in her new place and I'm so happy for her.

OFF FROM WORK

Yes, finally, I got 5 days off from work starting today and back to work Dec 29 and 30 then another 5 days off and back in Jan 5 next year :-) Well, I have to take advantage of the school christmas vacation because this is the only time that I can get few days off straight. All of my co-workers are student so it's me who always work in the weekdays which I like. We didn't plan of going somewhere in my few days off. All I wanted is to stay home, relax and enjoy every second of the day. It's been a while that I cook so I'm thinking of cooking and baking. One thing that I really miss too is photographing. It's been a while that we been out and take pictures which we used to do before I start working. Well, I guess it's the right time now to hold my camera and clik :-)

EARLY HALLOWEEN PARTY

My friend was hosting an early Halloween Party at her home last night. We were only 4 couples and 1 single mom that were invited. We didn't have kids at all but we really had fun.

We didn't wear halloween costumes but my friend provided us the hats and wigs for the men. I brought my own wig coz I had one home and so with hubby.

She prepared so much foods and desserts. One of my friend also brought some filipino foods. Oh, I'm telling you, I ate a lot but good thing that I was able to control myself not taking more than 1 glass of wine. I never had problem with my stomach when we arrived home.

The night will not be complete without taking picture:-) I didn't took much because I enjoy talking with them. Good that hubby was there and took some picture of us.

EARLY CHRISTMAS PARTY

I will be hosting an early Christmas party at home this coming December 03. I decided to make it so early because I know that party is everywhere and anytime in December. Party at work, school, friends' places, relatives' places and family. I was so lucky that all of my friends are available on that day. So it's confirm now that we will have our early Christmas Party on December 3.

I already planned for the foods to serve, some activities and games. We also decided to have an exchange gift. Gift can be for men and women. I already started shopping and I already found one. It will be a Yankee Candle. I've choose this one because candle can be enjoyed both man and woman. The gentle scent and the savory sweetness of this candle will last long and can make us feel so relax. I'm sure that whoever will receive my gift will be happy and they will enjoy the relaxing scent on it.

I'm blogging here at work..I'm already done with all my task here at work and I don't know what to do next...I'm alone just now. Boss left early because there's not much costumer. I guess it's because of the nice weather we have just now. People prefer to eat outside and enjoy the sun than eating here in the resto. I would like to enjoy the nice weather here now but I can't ...I will finish 5 pm as usual and I'm sure it will be cold outside at that time.

Well, I have to prepare the stuff now before costumers will arrive :-)

SMART PHONE

It's been 3 months now since I'm using using my nexus s smartphone and because I'm still new to this, I'm very careful in using internet in my phone in a no wifi area. I'm afraid that I will be over in my data usage limit. In my previous phone, I had unlimited internet usage but since I change my phone, I can't get that unlimited internet. So I have to be very careful. My Facebook account is always open in my phone and so with my yahoo account and messenger. But I never over use my internet. So I decided to put blogger application in my phone so that I can update my blog anytime, anywhere without carrying my mini laptop and Ipad 2 always...so cool eh?

In fact, I'm using my phone for blogging just now :-)

FIRST DAY OF SUMMER

Yes, today is the first day of summer season though we already experiencing summer weather in the past few weeks. It's so warm and sunny here just now and this weather will be like this until weekend. I have to enjoy every second of the day while I'm still free. Next week, I will start working and it's already confirm.

I'm blogging here in our patio. It take me a while to finish typing this small update of me because I enjoy taking picture of the little bird coming back and fort to the bird house bringing stuff for building their nest. I feel so amazing looking at them.

MY CHERRY TREE

We planted cherry tree last fall and it was 8" high. The seller told us that it will take 5 years for the tree to bloom. I felt disappointed because I wanted to have it bloom this summer hehehe. Hubby said that it's impossible what I wanted which is true. Anyway, I have to learn to wait because it's not all thing happen in an instant.

Few days ago, i saw the cherry tree blooms. I don't know if it's only the flower or if it will bear some fruits. I will just wait. I guess it's still too soon to bear fruits. We will see....for sure I will give you some news if there will fruits this summer.

MY BROTHER

My brother is schedule for surgery today. He's already in the hospital since yesterday. I just talk to him a while ago because the surgery is suppose to be at 10:00 in the morning Philippine time but the surgery room is still occupied. They are waiting that the room will be empty.

I'm hoping and pray that the surgery will be successful. Pls pray for him. You're prayer will be appreciated.

LILY FLOWER

This is my lily flower in our backyard.

I took this photo last summer when they are a full bloom.

Too bad I planted them in a wrong place so I need

to replant them this falls to their new place.

I hope they will like their new place

and they will still bloom to the fullest in the next summer.

What I'm worried about my lilies is that half of them were attact with insects.

We tried to treat them last summer but we were not able to recover all of them.

Only few were recoved plus the remaining of the lilies that were not

attack with insects. I hope they will grow healthy this summer.

I usually remove my shoes when I enter our house but sometimes especially summer, I will take my slipper out and inside the house :-)

Most of the people I know told me that I'm crazy that I love winter more than summer. I myself don't understand too but I'm always in a full boost of energy every winter. And I always feel depress every spring and early summer. But everything goes find during late summer and it will go on until winter :-)

Blogging doesn't take much time. I blog everytime I feel for it or if I have something to share to my followers. I think I spend 1 hour total in a day.

I was in our bedroom when hubby open the tv and it was the highlight of the news.

Well, I don't mind if it's only a friend..but BEST FRIEND? I don't know what I'm gonna do. I'm sure it will hurt me so much that I don't want to see her and talk to her for a while. But before doing that, I have to talk to her and ask her why she did that.

Huh!? I didn't even imagine or dreaming to become one. I don't know. Maybe a belly dancer? lol

No particular place. Hubby and I both love to try new place to eat.

Yes but it's TV show from Philippines that I've watch online.

When I feel I have enough. It's hard to do but I can do it slowly.

It's almost 2 months now since I got out from the hospital and I guess I'm quite okey now. I started drinking coffee but only once in a while. Sweets? Cake, yes. I made one last Easter Sunday and it's so sweet. I started to have a problem but thanks to the medicine, it didn't get worst. Since then, I'm afraid to take some now. When I open the pantry this morning, I saw all the Hershey's that I kept. I feel to eat one but I'm afraid. I don't want to have a problem again. I just keep it just in case I will be okey and I will send some in my family the next time I will send box to them. For now, I will just look at it to satisfy my craving :-)

SPRING CLEANING

I started my spring cleaning last saturday with the help of these two ladies in the photo. I'm so lucky to them as a friend because they are always there if I need them. The house is so upside down due to the renovation in the basement so spring cleaning is really a need. The basement is not yet totally done but the worst part is already finish. No more dusty work and all left to do is the second coat of painting, flooring and the furnature (which hubby will do it by himself). Hubby's workshop is still dusty but it's not a problem. The heater is not working that much because the weather is getting warmer now. I'm not worry about it anymore.

Hubby took a break in painting the basement. He went to chalet alone and I stayed here with my friend so that we can do the cleaning. We did the cleaning the whole day last saturday. Then after, we went to my friend's place and had our supper there. The next day (sunday) we decided to have a rest day. We attended the mass in the morning and then went for a walk since it was a very nice day.

I finish the cleaning today since we didn't finish it last weekend. The house smell fresh now :-) no more dust and our bedroom is also done. What left to do is the computer room and the basement :-) I will do the computer room tomorrow and the basement, I will wait next week after the floor will done this week. So looking forward to have a clean computer room and basement :-)

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH ME?

I feel so strange lately and I can't figure out why. I only sleep few hours every night and I can't sleep in the day if I wanted to. Hubby keeps on telling me to rest after school and I tried but still it's not working.

I just notice that every spring, I feel like this. It's like that I feel depress every spring and early summer. Most of my friends find me wierd because majority of the people here were depressed every winter and it's proven. But me, I feel depress during spring and summer :-)...you will believe now how I love winter he he he.

Because of what I feel now, I decided to stop my french course and just stay home and rest before I will start looking for work after summer. I want to enjoy the summer and try to love it :-) Tomorrow will be my last day at school. I'm sure I will miss my classmates and my professor but I'm sure I will have a good rest which is good for myself.

SNOWSTORM AT SPRING TIME

We had a very weather in the past few week. No more trace of snow in our front yard and just a few spot of snow in our back yard. I already took out the cover in all my plants but 4 days ago, we had 10 cm of snow enough to cover the yard but it melted the next day. I thought that was the last snow for us this year but I was wrong. Snow storm hit us just now. Good that we still have our winter tire. We are schedule to change this week but I guess we will keep it few more weeks. I guess it's safer that way.

I don't mind the snow at all because we all know that I love winter most especially the snow. But what I'm concern just now are my plants. My tulips are all ready to bloom. And now they are all covered with snow. I'm afraid that they will die. I hope not. New leaves are already growing in all my roses. This is one thing also that I'm afraid of. I don't mind if the tulips will die but not the roses. All my roses were expensive but it worth. They are very nice roses. I just hope that they will survive.

QUITE FOR A WHILE

I guess it's been a week now that I didn't blog. It doesn't mean that I ignore my blog. I was not able to blog because of some reason. I did a series of exams in my french course. So I have to study and prepare for the exam. So far, I passed in all the exams that I took. I still have more exams to take next week before our break after holy week.

Lots of good thing happen to me in the past week. I would love to share it to you but I can't right away. I'm in the mall and my time is so limited. We're always in a hurry in the past few days. We need to catch up things before it's too late. But as soon as i will arrive home, i will blog and share it to you.

I was so disappointed this morning when I went to the apple store to buy an Ipad 2 because it's out of stock. They told me that to buy the Ipad 2, I have to reserve it from the internet and pick it up the next day. They do it this way to prevent thousand of people entering the store at the same time. 9 pm to midnight is the official hour for reservation and everytime I log on to their site for reservation, it's always unavailable. My good! I'm so impatient to wait. Because of disappointment this morning, I went to the closest bookstore and both 3 magasine of Photography. I will just fucos in Photography and forget that Ipad. I already started reading it and all the articles are interesting. I learned a lot after reading one of them and hopefully, I can apply it soon.

The Château Frontenac is a grand hotel in Quebec City, Quebec Canada. It was designated a National Historic Site of Canada during 1980. Prior to the building of the hotel, the site was occupied by the Chateau Haldimand , residence of the British colonial governors of Lower Canada and Quebec.

The Château Frontenac, designed by the American architect Bruce Price, was one of a series of " château" style hotels built for the Canadian Pacific Railway company during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The railway company's policy was to encourage luxury tourism and wealthy travelers. The Château Frontenac began operation during 1893, five years after the Banff Spring Hotel which was owned by the same company.

The Château Frontenac was named in honor of Louis de Baude, Count of Frontenac, who was governor of the colony of New France from 1672 to 1682 and 1689 to 1698. CRAVING

After my hospitalization, I'm trying myself to stay away to all the foods that doctor told me avoid eating. One of them are coffee and sweets. I don't have a problem of not taking coffee but avoiding the sweets is the hardest thing to avoid of.

Since then, I didn't drink coffee not even my favorite macchiato au caramel. This morning after my class, I went to second cup. I took tea and mocha cake. I really felt guilty after eating the cake but I can't stop myself eating it. It's been a while now that I didn't eat cake. I don't think eating once is bad ( I hope it's not).

I have a little stomachache and a severe headache just now. I hope it's not because of what I ate. I took a pain reliever for my headache but it's still very painful now. I took it 3 hours ago.

I think I will need a good rest, maybe this pain will go.

WONDERFUL

I woke up this morning with a happy feeling though I don't have enough sleep last night. I woke up at 2:30 in the morning to go to the toilet and I had a hard time to sleep back. It was already 1 hour since I woke up and still I'm wide awake. I don't want to disturb hubby so I avoided opening the TV. I remember that my IPod touch was next to me so I grab it and play with it and then I started writing a blog using my IPod.

I thought I will have a bad mood when I woke up but I was wrong. I sleep back at 5am and woke up 7am because hubby's friend and my friend are having their breakfast here at home. I have to wake up that time to prepare the foods. Everything went fine and I'm still in a good mood today:-)

MAPPLE WATER

My friend bought a piece of land last year with a little cottage in the middle. There are lots of mapple trees in her land. The land is quite big and the mapple trees are located in the back of the cottage. In front are fruit trees and a big place for vegetable garden. She bought it at falls last year so she was not able to have the vegetable garden. This summer, she is planning to have a big vegetable garden and a little poultry.

Yesterday, we installed 10 pipe and 10 cans to collect some mapple water. When I inserted the pipe into the tree, the mapple water flow very fast. We were so excited yesterday when we saw the water flowing. Too bad we only have 10 cans. We collected only 5 gallons of mapple water this afternoon.We could have collected more waters if we have more cans. I'm sure tomorrow, we can collect another 5 gallons or more.

A LONG DECEMBER

1. Looking back at it now, how were your holidays and your time on New Year's Eve?

It was wonderful. I spent christmas with family and friends and on New Year's Eve, we were at my friend's place with all my filipina friends and the hubbies.

2. Do you have any unusual collections?

I'm collecting shooter glass from all the places that I visited (international and local) with the name of the place printed on it. I don't want a gift. I want that it's me who will buy it and only in the place that I been into.

3. If you could train a machine to do one thing for you whenever you wanted, what would you have it do?

Massage. I love to have a body massage always. It's very ralaxing. Hubby is always doing it and vice versa but if we have that machine, it would be great hehehe.

4. What is one thing that makes you cry?

If one of my family encounter a big problem:-)

5. What do you love to do on the weekend?

Driving into different villages and take pictures. This is what we use to do every weekend:-)

NEED MORE PRACTICE

The big show for our belly dancing course will be this coming May 21. 7 more weeks to go and still we didn't finish yet the choreography. Last night we concentrate working on our hands and arms. I guess we are pretty good now. Our level is quite difficult than before. We are using the veil and mine is quite heavy. I bought one but it's not yet ready. I'm looking forward to use the new one and see if it's lighter than the one I'm using. Next week we will try to finish the choreography so that the following weeks will be purely practice.

This will be our second big show. Last year, we did a good job though we're still beginners. I can tell you that choreography we have is very nice but the bad thing is, it's not everybody will be in the show. We will be only 5 in the show out of 11. Honestly, I didn't memorize the steps. I'm depending on the lady infront of me. But she's not going to the show so I have to practice seriously because I will be very visible in front and I'm in the center.

I'm so excited now:-) I hope I will lose even a little of my weight before the snow. After the hospitalization, I'm very careful now of what I eat and so with hubby. He's no longer tolerating me every time I ask something that we both know that it's not good for my health. I'm here in Starbucks just now but I'm only taking green tea...no more macchiato au caramel, my favorite:-(

SPRING TIME IS HERE

Spring time is already here but last night we had a slight snow falls that it end up hubby to clean the driveway this morning. But late this morning 90% of the snow that fall this morning were melting. This afternoon when I get out from the mall, there's no more snow in the parking lot. We can really see that it's already spring but too bad they forecast light snow fall in the next 3 days. But it's okey, I know that very soon I will see my tulips bloom:-)

MY HAPPY YET SAD BIRTHDAY

Yesterday was my birthday and our 8th years wedding anniversary. I was a little upset in the morning because hubby took me to Tim Horton's for breakfast that usually every weekend we always go to a fancy restaurant for brunch. Yesterday was not only my special day but it's our special day too. I was expecting that he will take me to a nice restaurant for brunch but he didn't. Tim is our favorite place but I felt that it's only an ordinary day yesterday.

Early in the evening, he told me that he made a reservation in a sea food restaurant for two. Then, I felt happy that finally we will celebrate it in a nice restaurant for our special day. But I didn't know that all my friends were there and so with his cousins which happen to be my friends too.

The night was full of fun, talks, laugh, eat and drink wine. I guess I had too much wine that makes me feel a little bit tipsy. When we arrived home, I was still able to transfer all my pictures in my laptop and still have time snuggling with hubby.

We both slept at 11:00 pm and at 1:00 am, I woke up with a severe chest pain. I ignore it at first because I just thought that it's the wine that stuck there especially that I slept facing down (as what I always do). I get up and took a glass of water but it gets worst. I woke up hubby and he warm up a little glass of water hoping that the pain will gone but it didn't. The pain spreed all over my upper body include my throat. Hubby was very afraid so he drove me to the hospital. Good thing that we are very close to the hospital.

When we register in the hospital, the send me right away to the emergency room. Put the oxygen in my nose, they inserted the IV in my left arm and took blood for a couple of test. They made an echo-cardiogram test to me, x-ray and couple of ecography test.

They bring me to the emergency room at 1:30 in the morning and they kept me until 11:30 in the morning. All the test were negative except that I have so much acidity in my stomach and it affected my liver (but not that worst). So they send me home to rest with some pills to take 1 every morning for 1 month, then minimize it until 1 year.

I was really looking forward to be home because I was not able to sleep last night with all that cord thing that connected in my body. I was not comfortable in their bed and the worst is, I can't sleep with my back. I always sleep facing down. I can't even move. I'm out of danger now but I have a back pain due to the uncomfortable bed.

Well, this is it...my happy (because of the surprise party) and sad (spending the night in the emergency room) birthday :-)

SO LOVELY DAY

We have a very nice day today. So sunny and warm though we still have snow but it melts so fast. I took this opportunity to walk from school to the mall. I felt really warm because I was wearing my winter coats. Tomorrow will be warmer than today so I better wear my spring coat so that I can walk to the mall again without feeling warm. It's a good exercise for me though :-)

UNWANTED EXPENSES

Yes, I just paid $60 for a job that even a kid can do it. I'm talking about our washing machine. 2 days ago, i washed our dirty cloths. When I transferred the washed cloths to the dryer, one of hubby's t shirt was stuck. I check it carefully and I found 2 screw in the little hole and another one in the bottom. I thought that the 3 screws were unscrewed so I put back the other one but to my surprise, the screws were very visible which is not possible. I called hubby and he check it out but still he didn't understand.

Yesterday, he called a guy that is an expert on it. The guy came this afternoon and he said that the 3 screw where from the pants «(for sure hubby's pants :-)» and the 2 screws that were in the holes enter the holes accidentally. He just took out the screws from the washing machine and it cost us $60 hehehe. What a big joke?! Anyway, we don't want to take a risk on playing the washing machine. We just bought it last summer and we're not ready to buy a new one if it's broken. We already spend $5,000 in the basement and it's not yet finish. We're expecting to spend another $5,000 in the coming days to finish the basement. We have enough spending for this winter.

TSUNAMI ALERT

The first thing I always do when I get up in the morning is open my lappy and check my FB account. I was wondering this morning how come almost all my friends posted this " Let pray for the safety of our friends...."something like that. In all the their post, they didn't mention what's going on. Then some said that they are thankful to all the people that pray for them and that they are now safe. I was really curious what's really going on. Then a friend of hubby called me telling me to watch the news, it's the tsunami in Japan. Instead of watching the news in the tv that I know I'm already late, I check it in googles and there I found all the answer of my question. And the worst thing is, Philippines is one of the country that will be affected. I watch the news in Philippines and I felt a little relief knowing that Bohol is safe but I'm still worried because Davao is in alert level 2. My brother and his family is their. I texted my brother and he told me that they are preparing for evacuation. He said that they live very close to the sea shore (pacific ocean). I told him to evacuate right away and don't wait for the announcement of the evacuation. I want him to be safe and his family. Then I didn't received any reply. I'm still worried until now. I hope everything will be alright.

It's very rare that I shovel the snow. We have a snow blower but I never use it since hubby bought a new one. In fact, I didn't even use the old one we had. Sometimes I do it but just in front of the door. But this afternoon, I tried to clean the patio. Hubby told me not to do it because there's no danger in it. He told me that the patio is very strong which is true but when I see how high the snow in our patio, I decided to give a try. At first, I liked it. I feel that I'm only playing the snow. But after a few minutes, my left arms and my shoulder are getting bad. So I stop shoveling and hubby did the rest.

Cleaning the patio is really a good idea because they forecast another freezing rain tonight. There will be more weight if we didn't took some of the snow in the patio. Whatever will happen tonight, the patio is ready to take it:-)

Honestly, I'm not hanging clothes outside but I hang them in our basement..but most of the time, I'm using clothes dryer.

I always take the bus going to school due to the heavy traffic. My school is far from where I live. It takes me 45 minutes by bus to my school.

I love reading books but I'm not buying them. I use to borrow in the library and sometimes, friends give me as a gift. 6. Have you ever considered recycling your cellphone?
I guess so.. I have 3 cellphone but I'm still using them. Maybe when time comes that I need to get rid one of them, then I must bring it to the store where there's a box for recycle cellphone. 7. All you need are a few simple non-toxic ingredients like baking soda, vinegar, lemon, and soap to clean your home. Are you willing to throw away the bottled chemicals?
That's what I'm using just now. I love to use natural cleanser than chemical one. Lemon gives a good smell in the house while it cleans.

BUSY DAY

We had a very busy day today. The concrete floor in the basement was already done last thursday and it was hard enough this morning. So we transfer all the things from the bedroom to the living room in the basement because the carpenter and hubby will start demolishing the bedroom. There were lots of things that I wanted to keep but we need space so I have no choice, we gave it away like my 32 inches tv. It's not a high defination tv but it was a flat screen. I really feel bad because that tv was from our neighbor. She gave it to me few years ago.She likes me very much since I arrived here. She gives me lots of things and she gave me a necklace with my birthstone as her welcome gift to me. She's not related to hubby but she's very nice to me and to hubby. Now, the tv will go tomorrow. It's already in the car ready to deliver. Some of the furnature were gone already and some went to garbage. We vacuum the floor and pass a wet cloth in some of the things that's left in the basement to take out some of the dust. Basement is now clean.

Inspite of the busy day we had, we're still able to go out for brunch this morning as what we use to do every weekend. Tonight, we just bought something that is ready to eat. I don't have time to cook so we decided to just buy something. We're now relaxing watching tv and blogging:-)

SEMAINE DE RELÂCHE

I'm already off from school and free starting at 10:00 this morning until Sunday next week. I have 1 week off from school because of the Semaine de Relâche here in Quebec City region. I'm so excited for this one week off and I'm now thinking of what to do next week. If the weather will be nice, maybe I go somewhere and try to take few good photos. I just bought a photography magazine «Digital SLR Photography» this morning and hoping to learn some tips to have a good photograph.

They forecast snow storm this weekend. Usually, we use to go out after the storm and take picture. I hope we can have a nice one.

Well, I'm here in Second Cup, my new hangout place hehhehe I guess I have to stop now. I still have to do my research for my french course....HAPPY WEEKEND TO ALL!

ACTUAL TEMPERATURE

This morning was freakin cool. It was -20 degree celcius when

I went to school but it's sunny. Good thing that the wind is not strong and with the help of the sun, it's bearable.

After my cours, I went to the mall and I can feel that the temperature was going up but I can't figure out the exact temperature. I was looking forward to be home, stay warm in the sofa and watch movie while drinking hot chocolate :-).

I just arrive here at home 10 minutes ago. I prepared my hot chocolate and now I'm here in the sofa watching movie while blogging. As you can see in the photo, the temperature is going up to -12 and it's so sunny outside. Tomorrow will be -6 degree celcius.

COFFEE TIME

Once again, I'm here in one of my favorite coffee shop «Café Dépôt». This time, I'm taking Appassianato Latté Crème Caramel Royal. It's my first time to taste this and in fairness, it's really good. I'm always taking machiatto au caramel before at starbucks but I decided now to try all kind of coffee and see which one is the best. These photos is my coffee for this morning. As usual, I'm with my lappy. I'm working with all my photos today. I need to delete all the photo that I don't need coz my external hard drive is almost full. I discovered last night that I have lots of duplicate photo that I don't know how it happen. Hubby was about to buy me another external HD 1tb but I told him to wait because I want to check mine first. Good thing that I checked it last night coz there's lots of garbage in my HD. So I have to start cleaning it and hubby will save his money in buying me one.

I don't have much thing to do today. Hubby is working so it means there's no work in the basement today which is good and bad :-) good because there will be a tranquillity in the house today and bad because it will take long for the basement to finish. Well, I don't have much choice but to wait until I will get back my basement. I don't think it will be done this month. The electrician told hubby that he will do all the electrical work in the entire house, including the changing of the box and put a new breaker, end of this month. Oh boy, it means that the basement will not be ready before april or maybe May. It's so discouraging but I'm excited at the same time. Looking forward to see my new basement.

AFTER SCHOOL

Having coffee at Startbucks Coffee is my usual routine after my french course class. I love to stay in this coffee shop because I can feel that I'm not isolated. There's always lots of people around and talked in different topics. There's lots of students also with their laptops and books. Some are just talking and some are studying. It's the favorite hangouts of the olds too. They read newspapers and some doing crosswords. I feel so relax in this place. I always observe the gesture of the people around me and most of the time, I did the same way they do. This is one way of learning the culture and tradition of the Quebecoises. They always wave their hands when they talk and I started to do the same « I never did this thing before :-)»

Sometimes I came here with friends or with hubby. But most of the time, I'm here with my dear lappy: blogging, facebooking or whatever :-)

FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK

Monday is always the busiest day of almost all individuals except me:-). I woke up early this morning because I feel to do our breakfast soon. We don't have anything schedule today--it's just that I feel to cook crepe that I expiremented last night. Yes, I'm experimenting the recipe of the crepe. It turns out really yummy. I just realize that it's not the crepe itself that taste yummy, it's the sauce. I made my own recipe of the sauce and it was so yummy. Hubby told me that my crepe is much better than his.

We just finished our breakfast 30 minutes ago and I'm here relaxing, watching tv while blogging. It's snowing hard outside and I love watching the snow fall in the window. After writing this blog, we will go out, drive around the city as what we use to do if there is a heavy snow or even a snow storm. We both love it.

Tomorrow will be a busy day for me and hubby. My course always start tuesday and so with hubby's work. We took the monday off so that we always have a long weekend. Hubby make his own schedule at work. His boss gave him that opportunity so that he will stay. They need my hubby at work and they don't want to lose him. They give everything that hubby is asking. Good that hubby is not an oppotunist. His doing his job very well and he has his word.

We have to profit this day because tomorrow will be the start of our busy day:-)

RETOUCH

My mini laptop serves as my bestfriend and my best buddy since I had him last year. It's so handy that I can put him in my handbag and I can take him anywhere I go. Blue is my fave color and I like him more because of that. But lately, I feel to change something in him. I have enough of that bare blue. I kept on thinking what should be added to be look like a little chic. I don't want to change him now because I'm still enjoying his company. I can't change the cover either for another color. I was thinking of putting a sparkling adhesive sticker all over the cover of my lappy but I didn't because I tried it before in my celphone and it's all fallen one by one.

One day, after my school, I went to the mall just to relax and have a coffee at café dépot as what I use to do if i'm in the mall. Then I enter in the store just for fun and I saw a sparkling sticket that made for laptop covers. There where lots of motifs but I like this butterfly with a light blue color. It really matches the color of my lappy. Why butterfly? Because i like butterflies. It's my favorite insects. I feel happy when I finish putting up the stickers. It's no longer bare and for me, it looks chic. I want to keep him as long as I wanted but I guess he will go soon. Just now, I will enjoy his company as much as I can.

NEED SO BADLY

I been suffering from a terrible headache this past few days. I woke up this morning feeling so bad. Headache strick me again. So I decided to go to school later than usual. I took 2 tabs of thylenol migrain. It's getting better now but I feel to throw up every time I move my head quickly. Oh boy! I really don't know what this sickness is. I can't stay home also because it will get worst. I need to go out and take a fresh air and it really helps.

How I wish we can have time to go to the chalet to relax but hubby is so busy with all the work in our basement. Electrician will come tomorrow too see the electrical work because we have to change all the electric cable in the house and put a new one and change the box too. The carpenter will come also tomorrow ( infact, he's always here everyday, it's just that hubby is at work at day time so the carpenter is only working at night). I don't want to disturb hubby because I want to have the basement as soon as possible too. I will just forget about going to the chalet. Just thinking of the basement will make me feel better.

Opps!! teacher is coming. I have to go now and Have a nice day to all!

DISAPPOINTED

It's been 3 weeks now that I'm waiting for my vacation pay. Supposedly, we will have it 2nd week of Febuary. I keep on checking my bank account but I received nothing from my previous employer. I called the manager before and she didn't received hers too. She called the employer and he was asking maximum of 10 days. My good! I'm not talking here of $100. I suppose to have $500 + with my 4% vacation. I don't want to lose this money because I worked for it. As what I understood, the employer declaired bankruptcy after the closing. And if it's the case, I'm afraid that I will lose my 4%. Yes, it's not the end of the world if I will not get it but money will save my 17" HP laptop. With that money, I can buy the 13" mcbook air (coz until now hubby keeps on convincing me to buy one) without selling my lappy. So so so disappointed. But we already agreed that we will call the "Normes du Travail au Québec" with regards in this matter.

I hope this will be solve before any complication will happen.

LADY OF THE NIGHT

Am I this old now? I remember very well that I babysit this lady in the photo above. She is my niece. I was staying in their place when my sister was pregnant. She was our baby before but look at her now? She grown to a beautiful lady. In few years time, she will have her carrier and have her own family. ouchhh! Does it mean that I will become a grandmother? hehehe I don't think so. I hope she will not enter the married life that soon. She's still our baby and she has to enjoy her life as a teenager.

NOT FEELING WELL

It's been 3 days now that I'm not feeling well. I had a very bad headache and stomach pain. I don't know what's going on but it started last Monday and still suffering until now. Good thing that I only have 2 hours in my french course so I was able to rest after school. I hope everything will be okey because I so tired of being sick. I was not able to clean the house and I don't even feel to watch tv because of the headache. I'm looking forward for the weekend. We don't have plan yet but I'm sure we will have something for the weekend.

BASEMENT RENOVATION

It's been long that we plan to renovate our basement but it's the question of time and money. It will cost us a lot if we do the whole basement with the piping works and electricity. So we decided to do just a little retouch and we did it two years ago. In fact, I installed my own home theater there. I enjoyed at least a year in our basement with friends. But lately, we had a problem in our washer. There was always an overflow of water everytime we wash our cloths. We already feed up with that so we decided to demolish the whole basement and do the piping works and we will have peace of mind forever ( i hope so) . Just now, the plumber is working in the basement and hopefully he will finish tonight with the new pipe. It's so noisy here just now and the worst is, the stairway to the basement is full of dust. Good thing that we put a plastic thing in the bottom of the stair to cut the dust to enter in the kitchen and living room. The house is full of dust just now but I can handle it.

Oh boy, I just came up from the basement. Hubby wants me to take a picture of the old pipe. Unbelievable how dirty it is. I can understand now why we always have an overflow of water.

EATING HEALTHY FOODS

I feel that I'm cheating myself for almost 2 weeks now. I stop going to the gym not even a single day for two weeks and I ate unhealthy foods especially when we were at Prince Edward Island last week. When we arrived home, hubby told me that we will continue our vacation. We had heavy breakfast in a restaurant far from home.

Tonight, I decided to have a good and healthy food. I was thinking of a salmon sandwich but I was not able to find a smoke salmon in the store that I went to after my gym. So I decided to buy a smoke beef and I made a beef sandwich. Photo above is the beef sandwich that I made. It's a whole wheat bread with ranch sauce, slices of tomatoes and cheese. I grilled it and I put lettuce after I grilled. It's so yummy. Tomorrow will be salmon and salad :-)

BEING ACTIVE

Well, to start updating this blog, I want to share to you what I have been through on those time that I'm not blogging. I'm still working in the same company but I only have 3 hours per day 5 days a week which means 15 hours per week only. It's only a part time and I'm happy with it. I have more time at home especially that summer is fast approaching. I will enjoy the summer and spend more time in our patio. I enroll earobics too and go to the gym regularly which is good for me since I'm gaining a lot. My target is to get rid of my belly fats. I started eating good foods but sometimes I cant resist eating rice and pilipino foods. I'm just new in the gym so I'm not losing any weight for now but I'm very confident that I will lose in few months.

I would love to find a full time job but I have to wait in automn so that hubby and I will enjoy travelling during my free time. And the best thing also in my job is I can ask 1 week off anytime I want. So cool, isn't it? We already plan a short vacation Nova Scotia but I don't know the exact date yet. We will do few short trips this summer for sure.

NO UPDATES

It's almost two months now that I'm not updating in any of my blogs. Busy and lazy are not the reason why I'm not updating them. I was discourage and disappointed because Mr. G banned my adsense. The reason they said is because of illegal clicks. I know this is the main reason why they ban you and I know it very well. I got paid already for how many times and why should I click my own adsense? I'm not really mad at Mr. G because they are just doing their job. I'm pretty sure that one of my friends or hubby's family did it accidentally using my IP. They ask me to appeal but I lost my interest anymore. Maybe I will do it one day.

I been thinking of ignoring my blogs but I realized that it's not a good idea and I have to move on, continue updating and be conected again to my fellow bloggers.

Now I'm back and I hope this will continue...

I been so busy at work in last few weeks since my boss gave me more responsibility. I don't have time to cook at home and I really miss cooking. I didn't have time to go out with my friends. Last weekend, hubby went to Montreal and I finished 9:00 pm at work. So me and my friend decided to go out for drinks at that night. We didn't know which bar we gonna go and we end up at the disco bar. We didn't stay long there...we had drinks and we dance until midnight. The next day was my day off, that was Sunday, my friend invited me for lunch at her place. I made the "kinilaw" and they cooked the rest. Oh my, that was really good. I ate a lot, lot, lot. The only missing in the menu was dried fish. Anyway, this time of the year is not the best time to cook dried fish. Summer is the best time since we can cook outside the house.

THROUGH MY LENS

My new blogsite is finally working. If you remember, I posted here that my Gagiers Photography is no longer working. I didn't renew my domain because I want to change it to Photoblog which is the "THROUGH MY LENS". I really had the hard time looking for a better title but nothing came to my mind. Through my lens is hubby's idea which is acceptable to me. So I used it as the title and I started to make the site. It takes me a while to finish it because of my work. Everything in my work went so fast. I just started last Oct 19, 2009 and boss put me in the higher level. I really didn't expect that I will get that position that fast. I put most of my time in my work and almost no time to update my blogs. Last week, I was thinking of finishing my photoblog so that I can introduce to you soon.

AT WORK

Work is going back to normal now. It was getting slow at christmas until new year since the school is off and most of the offices were in a holiday. We didn't have much costumers and most of the time, boss called and tell us to close earlier than usual. But today, regular costumers were coming back though the school is not yet open. We were three working today and the boss. Noon time was still very slow and boss thought that there will be no more costumers so he told me that he will go home early and the two were off 1:30 pm. So I was alone the whole afternoon because the next shift will be at 4pm. 1:30 pm, I decided to have my lunch since there were no costumers but before I'm done doing my lunch, a batch of youngs came in so I entertained them and then another group of olds arrived. Oh my! I didn't have time to eat coz I was alone. I did the preparation, packing and cashier. That was too much for me. Finally, I had my lunch at 3 pm. Good thing that I'm not hungry or else, I will have a stomach problem as it always happen if I'm hungry and I will not eat on time.

My co worker arrived at 4 pm and I sat right away to rest. She understand me and it's so nice from her. I'm not working tomorrow and the next day, I have to tell that to my boss. I don't want that it will happen again.

EXTRA MONEY FROM WORK

I was so happy when my boss handed me my tips this afternoon. My tips this week is not that much as the last time I've got. We always have our tips the week after our salaray. I had my salary last week and this week is my tips. I only got $40 for two weeks but it's a big help to pay my camera :-) I got $57 two weeks ago and that's the biggest one that I ever had since I started this work and today is the smallest one ever. Anyway, that little amount makes me happy. Hubby delivered some lumpia this afternoon and I put the money aside for my Nikon D5000. I'm pretty sure that I will have it before Christmas. My tips and the money I got from my lumpia will be the one to pay my camera. Hubby wants to pay part of it but I said no. I want that camera as my remembrance from my tips and my lumpia. I still have 90+ dozens of lumpia to do before christmas and one of the costumer told hubby that she will order more. Oh my! Do I have time to do them?I will find some time to do all the orders or else, I will not have my camera before christmas :-)

HUBBY IS SICK

Yes he is:-( I feel pity for him. He has fever and stomachache. I did a massage to him and he took thylenol for fever. He's in the sofa just now watching hockey and he said he feels better with his stomach but he still have a little fever.

I have 100 dozens of lumpia to do and need to be deliver before christmas. Hubby is so upset that he was not able to help me doing some tonight. I just finish few dozen and he will deliver it tomorrow. I need to do some every night or else I will not be able to have them all deliver before christmas. I'm working weekdays only which is good but we have lots of plans every weekend. I guess we have to sacrifice some weekend and do most of the lumpia. I don't want to stop my lumpia even if I'm working because it's a big help for me. I'm planning to buy big lens for my camera. I'm looking forward to have my new camera too:-) I already reserved the Nikon D5000 and I want to have it before Christmas:-)

I MISS BLOGGING

It's been a while that I didn't update my blogs. I'm no longer a fulltime housewife. I can't spend most of my time in my laptop as before due to my work. It's already two weeks gone since I started my work and my boss gave me more hours. It's not really my plan to work fulltime but I started to love my work and found more friends. And the most important is I practice my french while earning money :-) I want to save most of my salary because I'm thinking of taking a photography course. It's been a while that I'm thinking of this but I'm not satisfied with my french. My co-workers are all nice and they always correct my french and it really helps me. I started to gain confidence in talking french to the Quebecers (Quebecois) and I'm sure I can speak french fluently before the end of this year he he he.

I'm not working today and yesterday. We had a very nice and sunny day yesterday and today. We took advantage of the nice weather. We finished the Christmas lights outside and I spend a whole day cleaning our computer room and just now, I'm babysetting the daughter of my friend. She's working tonight until midnight and she was not able to find somebody to babysit for the night. I picked up her baby at the daycare at 4 pm and she still here until 8:45 pm. The auntie of the baby will pick her up after work.

This is all for now guys. The baby wants me to play with her...I will really try my best to blog tomorrow after work or after my bellydancing class.

NEW JOB

My day start with a good news. It was 9:00 in the morning when I woke up with the ring of the telephone. The call was for me asking me if I will want the job that I applied 2 weeks ago. Without hesitation, I said yes. Then she gave me an appointment at 11:00 in the same morning. I was so nervous yet excited. Nervous because the interview will be in french and excited because if I will get this job, this will be a good opportunity for me to practise my french.

The interview didn't take long and after a few minutes, he gave me my schedule for next week. He gave me 6.5 hours only for next week because I'm still a trainée. If everything will work fine, then he will give me more hours. Just now, 6.5 hours is enough for me. I still have more time to do my lumpia and more time to go around with hubby. All I want for this work is to practise my french and have more friends.

I can't stop myself feeling nervous every time I think of this job. To think that I'm dealing with french speaking clients, I have to make french perfect. Oh my! I hope I will succeed with this job.

I don't know how to start this post but I will try my best to have one. I was inactive for a while because of a very stupid reason. I been trying to many times to make an entry but my mind was not working. I was very distracted with my farms in Facebook. I spend most of my time in that game and not even doing some house chores. I’m not really proud of myself. I’m getting crazy with that game. And now, I’m trying to minimize my time in my so called farm and concentrate in my blog.

Lots of things happen to me in the past few weeks. Some were good and some were not that good but not that bad too. I’m already in my third week of my belly dancing class. The first day was not exciting. When I saw the instructor, I felt disappointed because she is very fat he he he. But when she dance, oh my! Her body is very flexible. I like my belly dancing course now. I’m looking forward for our final show he he he.

I’m back with my French language course too. It’s really a need for us here to speak French fluently to have a nice job. I don’t really like that much but I have no choice. It’s only 1 day per week, so it’s not that bad at all.

We’re always away from home every weekend. And hopefully, I can share to you the photo of our weekend trip soon. I will not promise but I will try.

SOMETHING GOOD HAPPEN TODAY

Yes, lots of good things happen to me today. Yesterday morning, somebody call me and wanted to meet me today. (I know what we gonna talk about but I'm so sorry that I can't tell you for now.) She wants me to see her at 1:30 this afternoon. I been there on time and I was a little bit nervous. Well, she was very nice and we end up the conversation with a little worry in me. After that meeting, hubby and I drove to Ste-Hyacinthe, a city before Montreal. It was two hours drive and we stayed a couple of hours there. We arrived late tonight. And when I enter the house, I checked right away the message in the telephone. The woman called telling me something that gives me a little hope and another message was hubby's cousin wants to order 25 dozen of lumpiang shanghai. I was very happy. This means that I will have extra money in a few days. I just delivered 5 dozen to one of my costumer this morning and I still have to do 10 more dozens for hubby's officemates. Oh my! I love it! he he he. That means I have to do 35 dozens of lumpiang shanghai this week. This is really a good money for me especially that I'm not working just now.

Well, I guess I have to stop now. I have to wake up early tomorrow so that I can do more lumpia before we will go to the EXPO QUEBEC FESTIVAL .

Yes, I'm here in Hongkong airport. I just arrive a while ago. I arrived in gate 64 and my next flight is in gate 1. Oh my, I walk 1 kilometers or maybe more. Good that I have 3 hours my next flight. I almost run because I want to be in gate 1 so that I can open my computer. And here I am! I just want to let you know that I'm going back to Canada and be with my husband. I miss him a lot but leaving my family in Philippines is really hard too. I started missing them already especially the little kids. For now, I don't have any plan yet of visiting them.

BLOGGING FROM PHILIPPINES

Hi guys! I'm really really sorry for not updating all my blogs. I'm here in Philippines now with my family. Actually, I arreived here June 19 and we flew to CDO the next day. Not updating my blogs is not the fault of the internet connect. It's my fault. I'm too busy visiting my friends and relatives, party here and party there and I didn't give time to update my blogs. I feel very guilty now so I decided to do it at least twice a week. Anyway, my stay here is very memorable. We had our Mega EB with my bolanon.com family last June 27 and it was really great. I'm so happy that I finally meet them in person. Two days after the mega eb, one of the member invited us to have dinner in her house after their town fiesta. I ate a lot and I'm not ashame to tell you that I'm gaining a lot lot lot. I really missed Pilipino foods and I can't stop myself eating them all. We will have another gathering tonight, that means, more Pilipino foods again and I ordered sea foods. We took a lot of photos and I will post it here sometime or maybe when I will come back in Canada. I still have 42 days of stay here and I will make sure that this 42 days will be more memorable for me. This is all for now guys and have a nice day to all!

IT'S RAINING DAY

I don't know how many times I'm singing the song IT'S RAINING DAY today. Maybe because it's raining just now. It's not really a heavy rain, it's only a little shower but there's no sun. * for sure, it's our computer room because it's really a mess just now. We need to do a litte arrangemen of the furnature and and the papers.

*It's not the same. Sometimes if I'm waiting for something or somebody, I feel that the time goes very slow but if I'm enjoying the time, it goes very fast :-)

*I still want it on March because March is very special to me. Aside from it's my birthday month, it's also our wedding month and not only the same month, it's also the same date:-) In short, my birthday is our wedding anniversary too:-)

BUSY AND EXCITING DAYS

Well, I'm late again and have a very late update. Sorry again guys :-( I'm so busy lately. I need to finish all the works inside and outside the house before I will fly to Philippines. We just finished installing the new cenima maison. Installing is not as easy as what we thought. We've change all the cables and to do that, we have to go to the attic and to go there is not easy. You have to crawl and hubby was doing it alone. I felt pity for him. And finally, it's done and we're enjoying now our new cenima maison (home theater). Aside from that, I did my spring cleaning. I washed all the windows, outside and inside, and I washed all the walls. It's a complete cleaning. Everything in the house is already clean and ready for the summer.

Outside, I already started cleaning my flower garden and the spring flowers are already blooming especially my tulips. This year, I started to plant some herbs. Hubby is already complaining he he he because he will take care all my plants alone for 50 days. Poor hubby.

And finally, I'm already counting the days for my vacation. I'm getting more and more excited as days goes by. Oh my! I can't wait to see my family and friends...so excited.

I'm auntie again! My sister-in-law just gave birth yesterday afternoon Philippine time. It's a baby boy and I will be the godmother he he he. We planned to baptize him on June 22. I hope this will not change. My schedule is very tight. I will arrive in Cebu June 19 at night and fly to Cagayan de Oro city June 21 and then fly to bohol june 24. I'm sure this will be a very tiring trip but I don't mind as long as I can be their in his baptismal. I have to fly to bohol on the 24th because June 27 will be the Mega EB of the bolanon.com.

How many sleep more to go and I will be in Philippines:-) I'm so excited now to see my family and the kids. I have to make sure that this will be a memorable vacation for me.

What's the best summer job you ever had?
I guess that was 1995. The first and last summer job I ever had. I work at the municipality of our town and I work with my crush he he he.

Tell me about the worst date you ever went on.
The worst date I ever had was when I was still18 years old. I met a guy that belong to a band. He was the lead singer and I really appreciate him. Everytime we talk, he's always tipsy and he talked a lot. Then he told me that he likes me and I told him that he has to visit me in my boarding house when he's not tipsy. Well, he came to visit me but in my big surprise, he's not talking. He was very silent if he's not tipsy. You know, we end up our date with just 2 words, HELLO AND BYE he he he. So funny and he never become my boyfriend.

Do you think the age for a driver's license should be raised (currently 16 here in the U.S.)?
In my own opinion, I guess yes. Young driver are still not responsible enough. Not all young drivers are irresponsible. I know young drivers are very responsible too but most of the them are the cause of accident.

MY NEW TOY

Yes, I have new toy or let say, new baby he he he my new Ipod touch. I bought it last week and been waiting to have it with me. I got it in hand two days ago. I so happy happy though it's only 16 gigs. Honestly, I can't put all my songs for I have so much songs in my laptop. I just took the one that I love and the rest is all applications. I have lots of games that I enjoy so much and so with the yahoo messenger that is very useful for me. I can chat anywhere as long as there is free wifi. What is nice here in our area is that I can get internet signal almost everywhere. I have wifi at home but still I can get internet in our patio from other wifi he he he he. Yesterday, I been for a good walk in the bike trail and I was really amazed because I was able to chat with my sister he he he. I sit in the bench to a little rest and I realized that I have internet in my Ipod touch. So instead of taking 5 mins rest, I took 10 mins because I was chatting with my sister. And even in front of hubby's office, I got it also he he he. Really cool, eh?

Today, I was not able to have a walk because it's raining though it's not hard but I don't feel to go. Aside from that, I been to the garage from the change of oil of our car. From the garage, I went straight to pick up hubby.

HAPPY EASTER IN ADVANCE

I know it's not yet the right time or let's says, it's too soon to greet you a Happy Easter. I just want to greet all of you in advance because I will not blog until Monday this week. At least, in this way, I can greet you all a Happy Easter.

We don't have any plan for the Easter Sunday. This Saturday, we will have dinner at my sister-in-law's place. And most probably, we will go to Ste-Anne de Beaupré church this Sunday. Then, I don't know what we gonna do after. Hubby is not working Monday next week, so maybe, we will try to visit some of his friend that we never seen for long.

ALIVE AND KICKING

Yes, I'm still alive and kicking but too busy with other things. I'm really sorry guys for not updating this blog. And to those who visited me, thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

Hubby and I were away for 2 days. We been to the chalet and we been going around with the snow mobile to end up the winter. We had a great time in the chalet and the weather was very nice on that time. Everytime we're in the chalet, I can use my computer because there's no electricity there. There is generator, solar charger battery and wind power charger (a little windmill..I don't know exactly the term in english) but I don't want to plug my laptop there because there is no use, there's no internet signal over there hehehehhe. So, there's no need to bring my laptop. And when we came back home, we have a live-in visitor that until now, they are still here. They will be back to their place maybe tomorrow night or Monday the latest. This is the reason why I was not able to update my blog. I'm so sorry again and thanks to those who keep on visiting here..really appreciated :-)

Nope! I really hate to visit the doctor if I'm sick especially in the hospital. I just stayed home and rest. If it's getting worst, then I have to go to the hospital.

We always have a hard time making an appointment with our family doctor. It's been 3 months now that we tried to get an appointment but it's always full and we're always late to call.

Last Tuesday afternoon..Feb. 24..I went to the no appointment clinic.

Of course if it's my family, I have to be there and take care of them.

I'M SICK

I know it's been long that I didn't update all my blogs. It's not because I didn't care of it but it's because I'm sick. It's already more than a week now that I suffering from colds and cough. At first, I didn't mind it. I still go for work and didn't take any pills for colds and cough. 3 days ago, it's getting worst especially on that time that I worked in the storage to check all the products for our inventory. It was boldy cold there and I don't have good cloth for that. I didn't know that it was that cold there. Yesterday, I started my work at 7 in the morning and I went hope at 9 in the morning. I lost my voice and I feel dizzy. I had a regret why I didn't go to the hospital the night before. Hubby kepts on telling me to go to the hospital but I said no. I just want to rest and I thought I will be okey in the next day. I told my manager on what i feel and she told me to go home and rest. I called my hubby to pick me up because I'm afraid to drive back home because I felt dizzy. He was in the mall the other mall and I called many times on his cellfone but there was no answer. So I have no choice, I just drive slowly back home and I rest. When he hears his fone beeping for the message, he found out that there was many misscall from me and from our landline fone. He call me back and I was already home so he came back home quickly as he can and he bring me to the hospital right away. The doctor found out that I have a severe colds and cough and severe Laryngitis. She recommend me to take a week of rest and syrup for my cough and a pill to bring back my voice. And the worst thing is, the syrup for my cough can make me sleep and the pills for my laryngitis can make me awake and give more appetite. I have to take them together. Can you imagine taking syrup that make you sleep and pills that makes you awake? I really can't imagine. Last night was the horrible night I ever had. I feel sleepy but I can't sleep. And the result is, I felt dizzy every time I move and I feel to vomite. I feel pity to hubby because he was not able to sleep also because of me. What I did is, I didn't follow the instruction of the doctor. I took the pills this morning and I will take the syrup tonight. I think this is the best for me he he he. I will be the doctor of myself.

Just now, I just stayed home and I feel bad that I don't have salary for a week. I will try to go back to work monday next week. I think I will be okey on that day.

FROZEN RIVER

It's been 2 days now that the temperature here goes down to -30 degree celcius. It's pretty cold and most of the river are frozen. There are lots of boats that stuck in St. Laurent River and they have to wait for the ice breaker to help them go through the ice. LUNCH DATE AT HOME WITH FRIENDS

My friends were here since this morning. We had our late lunch at 1:30 pm. I cooked 2 ham, sinigang na manok (chicken soup pilipino style), longganiza (pilipino sausage) and puto cheese (steamed muffin). My friend brought a big bowl of fruit salad and I serve them pina colada that they really love. I'm so happy that hubby stayed here with us even thought he's the only guy because the husband of one of my friend the suppose to come was not able to stay because his brother needs his help and the husband of my other friend was not able to come also because his sister is in the hospital and he needs to be there to look over his sister. Hubby was able to mingle with us even thought we speak in our own dialect, bisaya. He loves to listen us talking and he even talk with us that it likes that he understand us. Later in the afternoon, the husband of my friend arrived and he stayed here 45 mins, have coffee with hubby while we enjoy singing.

I'm so happy that they enjoy the lunch.

MY OWN VERSION OF STRIPED DELIGHT

The Boutet Family celebrate the New Year here at home. This is the first year that I didn't served them with Pilipino Foods. They really love Pilipino foods but every time we had a party here at home, it's always me who do everything and hubby feels pity for me. So he decided not to serve them with pilipino foods. One of my dessert is this striped delight. This is so yummy and not too sweet. All of them love my dessert.

DINNER GET TOGETHER

A week before Christmas, we were at my friend's place and had our pre-christmas celebration. Then we decided to have some fun at my other friend's appartment after new year and this was last night. We really had a great time. I ask hubby to drop me in my friend's place because I don't want to drive because I want to drink and get drunk he he he. Hubby is so understanding and he drop me there and he told me to take my time and enjoy. Well, that's what I really did. I brought my magic sing there. We're only 4 but we really had a great time. We ate palabok and many more. We also had casava cake, fruit salad, biko and cheese cake. My friend brought vodka and mango juice. Wow! I was really full and a little tipsy. I'm not really drunk he he he. Hubby pick me up at 12 midnight. I woke up 10 this morning and so sad to say that I was not able to attend the mass.

Anyway, that's the happening last night and in 2 weeks time, we will have another get together here at home.

WELCOME 2009

This may be a late greetings but I still believed the saying " it's better late than never". I'm so sorry friends, I was too busy preparing for the new year's party here in our house for all the Boutet Family. Every January 1, they will celebrate here in our house and since I arrived here, we always have a big celebration. They love Pilipino foods and they always want it everytime they came home. I always spend 2 days preparing the foods but this year, I made it simple. It was simple yet I spend 1 day for the preperation. I did the dessert a day before new year. It really helps a lot. I saved more time.

The party was really great. Everybody enjoy the night. I was so happy that it's over now though we're not finish cleaning the mess. We spend 3 hours just washing the dishes this morning. I really hate if we use the plate that we can't wash in the dishwasher. It's a plates from my inlaws with a design made of 18k gold that's why we can't wash it in the dishwasher. Hopefully, we will finish everything tomorrow.

MY CHRISTMAS WISHLIST

Every year before Christmas, hubby is always asking me what I want for a gift. He wants me to right it down all the things that I want and he will choose any one of them. Usually, he gave me 3 or 4 gifts and one of the gift is always a thing that he wants me to have that is not in my list. But this year, he never ask me my wishlist. I was really surprise. This Christmas will be my 5th Christmas here in Quebec and for the last 4 Christmas, he gave me all electronics including my first laptop(15" HP), my fuji and nikon camera, Ipod classic and 2 other mp3 player, videoke player and my magic sing, my second laptop (17" hd HP with blue-ray), portable dvd player and I remember he gave me magic bullet because I always ask him that magic bullet and food processor. Until now, I still waiting that he will ask me but I don't think he will because it's already 2 weeks more to go and it's already Christmas.

But anyway, what I wish to have as my christmas gift this christmas are Sony 120GB Full High Definition Hard Disk Drive Camcorder (HDRSR12) and IPOD Touch. These is all I want for my gift he he he. Hubby knows already that I want this two but it was 3 months ago that I told him about this. And last week while we did some shopping, he was looking at the camcoder and he ask some information about it he he he. I hope he will give me this two.

I'm really looking forward to know what he will gave to me. I already bought PSP for him. He don't have one yet and he told me that he want one so that he can play in the plane. PROVINCIAL ELECTION

Tomorrow will be the election for Prime Minister here in Quebec. I'm looking forward to know the result of this election. I'm not yet a citizen here so I can't give my vote to any of the candidate. But if I can vote, I know who I will vote for. I don't know much about the political situation here but I have enough knowledge to know who will be the right one to become the PM of Quebec Province.

I'M DYING TO HAVE THIS

It sound weird but it's true. I really want to have this old oven stove. This is own by the cousin of my hubby. This is what they use in their chalet. They make bread, cook and this serve as a heater too. You will never find this anymore in the market. They bought it from their neighbor that wants to get rid of this old stuff that came from their great great great great grandparents. I really like this because it works with woods. No need to pay for electricity or gas. I don't want it here..I want this for my mom in Philippines he he he. I can't imagine how much I have to pay for the freight hehehehe. If I have this in Philippines, this would be a big help for my mom. She don't need to buy a tank of gas or pay for electricity for the electric stove. We have lots of woods in Philippines so we don't need to buy woods and we have an open dirty kitchen so this will not warm up the house as we all know how warm in Philippines is. Hubby's cousin gave me a deal. If he will win the lottery (he buy lottery ticket every week) then he will give me this oven and he will pay the transportation he he he. I know that it is very imposible for me to have this one. But who knows, one day, someday, I will have this hehehhe

It's been long that I've been waiting for the snow. The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was check outside if it's snowing. And yes! It's snowing a lot. Two times that we had snow few weeks ago but it melt right away and now I don't think it will melt because we have 5 inches of snow and it's still snowing outside. I am alone here since yesterday because hubby has a training in Montreal until friday. This morning, I need to go to the grocery store to buy some carrots for my lumpiang shanghai. I need to deliver some tomorrow so I have no choice. I have to drive to the closest grocery store. It was a heavy snowfalls this morning and the snow plow didn't pass yet. I felt a little scared when I drove to the grocery because it's my first time driving under a heavy snowfall in an unclean road. I drove 30 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone. All the cars were driving very slow to avoid accident. Though I felt scared but just seeing the snowfalls makes me feel better.

I stayed home in the rest of the time today. I did 10 dozen lumpiang shanghai and I enjoy playing the dance revolution. I felt good after doing the dance revolution. It's a good exercise.

This is all for now because I still have to study my lesson for tomorrow.

MY CHRISTMAS TREE

Finally, my christmas tree is done. I started putting up my christmas tree last night but I was not able to finish it because hubby's friend came for a visit. We went for our vaccination this morning and did some lumpiang shanghai in the afternoon so my only chance to finish my christmas tree is tonight and I did it :-) I'm so happy that I finally did it. I'm not finish with my christmas decor but at least the christmas tree is there and with the snow falls this afternoon, it really gives me a spirit of christmas.

A GIFT FROM SANTA

An early gift from santa arrived this morning. It's a 46" (Sharp Lc46d85U-the latest model of sharp)full HD(1080P) tv with 120 HZ, 4MS, 5HDMI. We have 37" lcd before and we decided to have a bigger one since we have a larger living room now. We still kept the old one and I put it in my living room in the basement. The basement is my place if I want to be alone. Now that I have a bigger tv there, I guess I will stay there more often than before because I'm sure hubby will watch sports in the big tv.
As you see in the picture, it's not yet install in the bracket because hubby is not here. Hopefully he will be able to install it tomorrow afternoon.

FINALLY....

We're finally done in our living room. The painting is done, the varnish for the floor is done and the furniture is already there. The television will be deliver this friday. We purchased it last saturday but hubby wants it to be deliver this friday because he was afraid we were not able to finish the varnish and he still have to relocate the cable outlet. I don't mind to have the television on friday, what I want now is to put my christmas decor. I already put some this afternoon and I will continue tomorrow morning...oppssssss tomorrow morning, we will go to the laundry shop because our washing machine is broken. We have a big load of dirty cloths to be wash tomorrow. So I will finish my christmas decor tomorrow afternoon. I'm so happy with our living room. The dining room is already clean now. What's left to do is the cupboard and the computer room. There are still lots of dust in the computer room and the papers are all upside down he he he. But this is not a big work. We can do it in just an hour.

We always have a halloween party or sometimes family halloween dinner. I always put a halloween decoration inside and outside of our house.
2.) Do you ever dress up for Halloween? What will be your costume this year?
No. I don't. But it doesn't mean that I will never wear one. Maybe someday if we will attend a big halloween party. I don't know yet what will be my costume he he he.
3.) Have you started Christmas shopping yet? When do you usually begin?
Yah. I already started christmas shopping. Usually we start shopping in October and I always start putting my christmas decor after halloween but this year, I will probably put my christmas decor first week of december because we are renovating our living room and just now, it's all upside down. We are still working with it.
4.) Do you look people in the eye when talking? Does it bother you when people don't make eye contact during conversation?
I always look in the eye of the person I'm talking with. But if i'm guilty, I don't have the guts to look at their eye hehehe. It doesn't bother to me if they will not make eye contact during conversation but I will think that they are hiding something to me.
5.) What excuse do you usually use when you want to take a day off work for no real reason?
Hehehehehe I'm good at it. I'm sick! this is always my excuse.

Skechers. It's very comfortable and light. But my running shoes just now is nike because I was not able to find the same skecher I had before for running and I need it badly on that time so we bought nike.

DEMOLITION

Wow! It's been a week now that I didn't update all my blogs. I'm so sorry about it guys. We are so busy lately and I guess this will go on until december. As I said in my previous post, we are late in demolishing our living room. And finally, we already done in demolishing the wall and electricity is also done. At least the big jobs were done. The next job will be the sanding of the floor and varnish then paint the wall. Sanding is quite a big job also and I can imagine the dust all over the house. I'm looking forward to finish this job so that I can start putting my christmas decor and we will shop for a new couch and new cinema maison (home theater).

We didn't do anything today. We just want to rest and tomorrow will be my hubby's birthday. Too bad I can't do a party in the house. But I will treat him tomorrow in the new Thai Resto here.

CHATTING WITH MY MOM

I just finished chatting with my mom, my sis, my nephew and my little niece. It's so nice to see them in the webcam. I really miss them. I guess we talk for almost 1 hour and a half. I'm loooking forward to talk to them again in the net. The voice is better than talking in the telephone and I can see them through the webcam.

I'M HEALTHY

I'm so happy with the result of my blood test. We had our doctor's visit this morning. Hubby's result is great, mine as well. I'm afraid to have a high sugar count because I ate a lot of sweets in the past few months. But luckily, it's normal and so with my kidney. Everything is fine. I had a breast check up also and my doctor didn't see any sign of breast cancer. I'm so happy. We will have another appointment febuary next year.
